Great host, great food ... always gladly
Was very tasty, of course ?
Unfortunately, I cannot understand the positive reviews. It smelled a lot of tobacco smoke, the service was unprofessional and the menu was designed carelessly. It is good that there are few dishes on offer, but all dishes can be defrosted or cooked in the deep fryer. Accordingly, it didn't taste good. I can't even recommend the simple currywurst. Deichgasthof on the North Sea should offer North German specialties and not canteen dishes, although it probably tastes better in every canteen. We didn't feel really comfortable either. The location needs a little more care here and there.
A super good, family-run restaurant a bit away from the tourist flow. We went to this restaurant for the first time today based on an online recommendation. All three of us had opted for fish; 2 times the fish platter and 1 time the redfish fillet. With the side dishes you can choose from different and there was a salad with homemade dressing. The fish fillets were very tender, boneless and fried to perfection so they weren't dry at all. We also liked the seasoning very much. The service was very quick, attentive and super nice. The boss herself also found time for a little chat with her guests. We felt very welcome, are well fed and will definitely be back! Clear recommendation and a big compliment to the entire restaurant team!
Dog-friendly, down-to-earth inn with generous portions at fair prices. Very tasty, the fish was glassy and the schnitzel was juicy. We will be back definitely!
Schnitzel in many delicious variations and a tasty selection of fish are available here. Those who don't need it "etepete", but prefer a clean country inn, are in good hands here. Reservation is recommended!
Very nice family business, we had the delicious schnitzel. Great selection of drinks and the delicious little "homemade" with elder ?
Family-run country inn, is a bit out of the way. Very friendly service, home-style cuisine. We had a fish platter with 3 types of fish and 1 x shard. Very tasty, large portions, fresh, juicy and perfectly cooked. Finally, there was another specialty of the house: elderflower liqueur. Highly Recommended. We would love to come back.
The Deichgasthof Zur Leybucht can only be recommended. Food was very good, staff accommodating
Service super friendly, Food was excellent, we had plaice and scraps with crabs. Excellent, can / must definitely be recommended.
Nice hosts, great food and especially recommended with children
Super tasty and very cozy. Very nice service
You will be greeted very friendly by the dog and cat, the beautiful terrace behind the house invites you to linger. The food is great, whether meat or fish, everything is freshly prepared. Even the homemade potato salad tastes delicious there is also a homemade elderberry liqueur with the food, I can only recommend this dyke inn to everyone.
Very delicious food very large portion. Everything is freshly prepared. The cake is homemade and the potato salad is homemade and delicious. Nice ambience with friendly service. I can only recommend.
Such a cozy and delicious restaurant ... and then also such nice and warm owners! My little daughter, my husband and I are very excited! We are really looking forward to our next visit next summer! Thanks for the two really nice evenings and all the best for you!
Searched and found.... :-)) We just spent 10 days on the North Sea. After more than 3 months home office finally a bright spot and change of scenery. And we were very lucky twice - to have a vacation and to discover a "favorite restaurant" !! A great, fresh cuisine - varied and consistently delicious, whether crispy schnitzel in delicious variations or the great selection of fish !. Here we ate pork chops for the first time - prepared with bacon cubes on the recommendation of the landlady and chef - a pleasure !! Everything fresh and everything handmade with love. A great family business where everyone touches. Incidentally, it is commendable how great and consistently all precautions regarding Corona were observed. We felt very comfortable in the family atmosphere !! A big thank you to the Deichgasthof Zur Leybucht !!
The quite good reviews made us visit this restaurant. Unfortunately I cannot understand this rating. The menu is very unprofessional in design, the dishes are not very large in selection, but the prices are already "hearty". Main courses start from 14.50 euros. I had a schnitzel with 6 croquettes for 15.50 euros and there was a loveless salad (iceberg, something Coleslaw, a few broad beans, half a sliced tomato and 6 thin slices of snake cucumber and a sauce from the bottle). In my opinion, the schnitzel came out of the deep fryer. I have ordered herb butter. It actually cost extra, I doubt whether it was homemade. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the plate, but nobody has heard of loving serving or decorations. In total we paid for 4 dishes over € 85.00 (drinks were 2 colas, 1 gr. Bottle of water and 2 cyclists). Incidentally, I was not fed up and would definitely not go there to eat again, even if I was invited. But of course it's all a matter of taste.
Very friendly and warm service. Great location with lovely animals (cats, dogs) and very tasty food. Conclusion: highly recommended.
Wonderfully down-to-earth inn with no frills but good food and reasonable portions at fair prices. Beer garden behind the house. Mainly fresh fish and schnitzel dishes. Very tasty and freshly cooked! Ideal for our lunch break on the bike ride. We will be back!
